This book is just cute. Melanie Jacobson's books always make me laugh hysterically. They are dangerous for me. Laughing out loud in public is usually frowned upon.

Seriously if you want a cute, clean, funny romance, look no further than Melanie Jacobson.

Cute!

This was my first book by Melanie Jacobson and it was fun! It took a little for me to get into it but I was there after 30 percent or so. Super cute!

This book was painfully predictable, although entertaining. There were too many contemporary things "inside jokes" if you will, to make this book readable for too many years. Too many things aren't explained. Ten years from now, no one will know what it's talking about.

This is one of my new favorites in the LDS fiction (chick-lit) genre. I loved the humor and dialogue and the fact that it was an LDS book without being preachy at all. A fun read that I couldn't put down!

Cute story! I loved the idea of The List. I think everyone should make their own List to complete before they get married. Genius.

I thought Matt and Ashley had great chemistry and I loved their interactions throughout the book. There was a lot of snark and humor and I appreciated that. I'd recommend this if you're looking for a quick, summer-y read. If you read it in the winter like I did, you might find yourself pining for the beach with no way to get there. Darn it.

Genre: bucket list, mistaken identities, surfin' USA
Summary: Ashley is a busy pre-graduate student in Huntington Beach for the summer to earn money for school. While working, she intends to have a bit of fun. She has a list of 25 things she wants to have done before she gets married. She doesn't want to have any regrets. #17 on the list is a summer fling, and she intends that Matt Gibson is the perfect candidate for fulfilling that goal. Only, will he change her mind about the List?
Response: Obviously, this is geared to a very specific audience. The singles ward environment was pretty much spot on. It was a little uncomfortable the level of manipulation Ashley employs to get Matt interested. She is so set on getting through her list, she misses out on a really wonderful guy. It was interesting to see her background, with her family's history for marrying young and how she refused to be defined by that. I thought the ending was a little silly, but it was cute and easy to read.

The writing wasn't great, but I was hooked on the story. Great YSA LDS novel to start off the summer with :)
