Don’t get me wrong, I get the appeal of this book, it just seems like any kind of subtlety and heart was abandoned for the sake of a funny internal monologue.

You will need to keep the character list handy and the world building is hard but so worth it. Originally started reading for the queer representation but stayed for the mystery, humor, and writing.

Couldn’t stand the immature and dated writing style. Had to check to see if this was a YA book. More adjectives doesn’t mean better. The dialogue was even worse and had me rolling my eyes.
