Really enjoyed this one, especially after being a bit let down by Zoe’s Tale. The serialized format was a bit different and I didn’t love jumping around as opposed to just a straight forward novel, but again the story was great and I’m looking forward to seeing how the series ends in the next book.

I love this guy. Ok, maybe he's a little formulaic, maybe his characters are all sounding a bit the same here, but it entertains me. Which is what I'm after.

It was a good book, but I'm disappointed that it didn't wrap up the story. Maybe the series should have ended with the Last Colony?

Good writing as usual from John Scalzi, but I was bored. I gave it to 40% and then gave up. A bit sad to have this disappointing end of the Old Man's War series...

5th book in the series and my least favorite.  It almost borders on a stand alone book.  You need some of the background from the earlier books but I don't feel like you would be completely lost if you read this one out of order.  Just felt like this story dragged a bit.  There is also some jumping around from character to character and from place to place that just disrupts the whole flow for me.  I plan on reading the last book but I didn't like this one.
