This is why I always buy the books in a series ad they come out and then wait to read them until the series is finished because how tf am I supposed to wait however many months to find out what happens after that cliffhanger?

Honestly I am just hoping erida wins and kills everyone. The only good character in the series

What can I say except thank you, Victoria Aveyard, for creating such a rich and thrilling fantasy world!

What a wonderful opportunity to follow the path and adventures of so beloved and well-developed characters in their quest to save Allward.

Once again, I really enjoyed the multiple POVs throughout the story and found particularly interesting to feel and see through Erida’a eyes. It’s not very common to find a book where you can understand the motivations and longings of the villain and I absolutely loved seeing how her character develops into an ambitious, strong, ruthless empress.

I enjoyed Blade Breaker even more than Realm Breaker, as I was already acquainted with the queendoms and enclaves throughout Allward, and already had a connection with the characters (Andry still holds a very special place in my heart as my favourite!)

I truly recommend this saga to epic fantasy lovers, who want to come across an amazing world-building and strong female characters.

I’m really looking forward to reading next book on this series, which has become one of my all-time favourites!

Good, but I didn’t feel connected/super interested in any of the characters the way I did in the Red Queen series :/ It was also super long and I had a hard time staying interested

I thought this book was a bit slow at the beginning, this may also be due to a reading slump and not having the mental capacity for a fantasy novel. Once we got to the halfway mark it really picked up in pace, and I found myself having a much easier time with reading and enjoying the book.

I enjoyed our heroes POVs and found them more interesting than Erida's. Hers felt more or less the same with each chapter,
the slow descent into madness as she craves to be the conquering Queen and proceeds to put fear into everyone,
got repetitive after a while. After the first couple of chapters there wasn't enough to keep me interested in her story for as often as we got it.
The other POVs I felt had a good mixture of action, interpersonal issues, and conflicts to keep me interested so even when chapters felt similar to one another in the actions taken the other areas made the difference to keep me engaged.

By the end of the book I was hooked and loving each battle, triumph, and loss that our group faced. There relationships are very much a strong point for me in this series so far. Seeing how they grow together and interact after each challenge is always a highlight.

The ending has me wondering what direction the third book will take and who we will be focusing on the most. I cannot wait to finish this trilogy.

We are back for the sequel to Realm Breaker with some old friends and many new adventures. Mortals and immortals alike must deal with death and chaos while many people’s pasts come back to haunt them. New and old magic is in the air and this group of unlikely heroes must work together to face Queen Erida and the evil she has planned. Will they be successful? Will they all make it to the end of this novel? I highly recommend that anyone who picks up Blade Breaker read Realm Breaker first. The world-building and character development will be hard to follow if the original pieces are missing. A fun fantasy and I have already added the next book to my TBR list.

So good!! Has everything I’d ever want and more. Dragons and the undead. The companions bring back the vibe of the fellowship in Lord of the Ring! Can’t wait for book 3
