2.5. Oh man, this is becoming more and more boilerplate YA. The plot is the only thing that feels like it's getting worked at anymore whereas all the characters are just sliding into the predictable genre slots.
And since the characters are no longer getting much attention, it now feels like there are way too many of them. I realized about three quarters of the way through that I was kind of...... rooting for some deaths at the end just so there'd be less of them to keep track of.
And, uh?

This one kept my attention a lot better than the first one did but I was still so confused on the world building. This might be a series that I have to read physically in order to fully understand the world and everything about it. Which is fine, it happens sometimes. Also I realized my Libby cards don't have the last one in the series, so that's cool. Anyway, I like the characters and I would like to finish the series, but it looks like I will have to pick it up in a different format for that to happen.
