I love Valtik.

It took me three different tries to get through this book. I really like the characters and their interactions; however, almost nothing happens in this entire book until the last 15% maybe. And even the action then is meh. I am not sure I’ll be reading the last book.

The Erida/Taristan content is what got me through this book.

Sorasa is my fav character but I didn’t find the Companions storyline engaging. (The second to last chapter was the exception though, that was a good ending for book 2.)

Other characters keep talking about Corayne being special, brave, etc… did I miss that part?

OMG why do they always have to kill off the lesbians ?
The Companions will never find happiness again (canon).

The story really feels like it takes off in this one. I liked the first one but this book really hooked me on the series.

I have suffered much emotional damage due to this book. The characters are so vibrant and full of life and seeing this found family bond has been incredible. The world-building is continually stunning. The character development and their travels through this amazing realm has made such a fabulous story. I am in emotional shambles because of the ending and the next book will be highly anticipated for me!
