DNF. The first book had a lot of potential and I really enjoyed it both times I read it. But this one I just couldn’t finish. It didn’t capture my attention at all, I was struggling to force myself to finish it just for the sake of finishing but couldn’t do it. Too much time was spent on uninteresting aspects of the story, some of the characters were less likable than in the first book, and the pandering got to be too much for me to ignore personally.

I enjoyed this book far more than its predecessor! This sequel had so much more of an emotional tug so I had a much easier time reading. As always I love Erida even though I know I shouldn’t be rooting for the “evil queen”.
