I'm not really sure how I feel about this,
I really like the main core companions but I feel like because there is so many POV's that you don't get a lot of time with each of them. the villains are ruthless which really raises the stakes, it could have been shorter the first half felt unnecessarily dragged out.

I definitely want to read the final book and see how it all wraps up, but my expectations are lower.

this was only three stars because the gut wrenching ending.

It's not that good, but it's not that bad either.

I have no idea there are undead in this book. The plot is good but it just kind fell flat. I'm not sure if I should continue reading this series.

DID NOT FINISH

I was hoping that, since this is the second book, the story and characters would start developing more. But they didn't really. The story was progressing but didn't feel like it was building. And the characters are all very flat and stale. Aveyard seemed to focus much more on unnecessary world-building than building her characters.
