I like me a good comic. Daredevil is my favorite comic book superhero (mostly based on the television shows) but I figured I’d read the origin story and it did not disappoint!

I picked up this series in original single issue volumes at a comicon and was pulled in by the beautiful art on the front. The storyline is pretty simple and the stakes aren't very high for Daredevil at this point, but it does a good job of establishing the main characters in this universe and helping you understand Matt Murdock's motivations as he grows up and trains to become daredevil. It's not Frank Miller's best story but I did enjoy it and the art really holds up well.

A great origin story with some really fantastic artwork. However, the books leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Characters such as Stick, Elektra, Kingpin, come and go without much explanation about their ties or motivations. This is especially frustrating to those who are new to the Daredevil comics. I hope i won't have to look long to find answers behind the mystery behind these character. But overall, the story's good and the gorgeous artwork is a treat for the eyes.
