“Instructions for Dancing” is also instructions on how to live your life - live in the moment. Evie is given the power to see the future - she focuses on heartbreak not love after her parents divorce.

I didnt read the book summary properly but went in thinking it was a cute teen romance book which it was at times! But then it become randomly paranormal because she gets visions lol and there wasnt any explanation of how she suddenly got that power?! The ending was also super sad and I get that author was trying to give us a deep message but COME ON! We deserved a better ending.

if you look past the YA romance-ness of it, it will absolutely tug at your heart strings at the end

This book was heartbreakingly good. Definitely the quirky YA romance I was looking for lately. Evie is relatable for me, as I've felt similarly when my parents split, so it was such a great read to follow her coming to terms with her relationships, and how it's now always about the ending.
I feel like maybe the book should have been a little more focused on the actual dance lessons/dance competition as thats what the title and synopsis lead us to believe it would, but im not unhappy about it.
This is the first book by Yoon that I have read, and I cant wait to finally pick up the others.

This book was great but what I expected going into it was pure wholesomeness and there was wholesomeness but this book was also incredibly deep and had some sorta philosophical moments that left me wondering 'what is love' and 'is there such thing as a happily ever after'. I did however really like the 'Visions of love' concept where when the main character sees people kiss she sees their whole love history and love ending. The only reason this book isn't rated 5 star is because i'm still not over the ending.
