Reading Play On is like reading two completely different stories. There are things I like about Nora and Aidan but I was mostly frustrated with book.

This was my 2nd (or 3rd) time reading this one and man..it was just as good as I remembered.

I can’t help but feel so much heartbreak for Jim, but completely understand where Nora is coming from.

..and Aidan.

This book was magnificent. I've always been a huge Samantha Young fan but her recent releases have blown me away, and Play On continued that streak. Play On is complex and brilliant, full of heartache and sweetness.

I really liked this book. The storyline and writing were excellent. However, I didn't love Nora. She was a bit too stubborn. I also wanted more of Nora and Aidan in the present. It felt like an incomplete story the author rushed through at the end.

I found Nora annoyingly weak, but the overall story was a good one. The plot was refreshingly original and inconspicuous.

DNF 42%... didn't like Nora the main character and the book made me feel gloomy if that makes sense.

Second chance, age gap, billionaire romance

There was a lot going on with Nora. She has a very difficult life for such a young character. I initially struggled to get captivated by her story when she goes to start her new life in Scotland but after the first 25% I was hooked. I wanted to know how her story was carried out and where her love life ended up. I did struggle with the timing in the book because we seemed to jump from one bit to another instead of letting it flow nicely and there was a lot of going back and forth. There were some scenes that I think didn't need to be included for her character's closure as that chapter seemed to have gone into her life.

I adored the angst and build-up between Aiden and Nora. They have an intense, slow-burn romance with lots of teasing scenes for the reader. Samantha has a beautiful way of writing a story and setting the scene in Scotland. It's whimsical and romantic. Even though this isn't my favourite book I did find it enjoyable.

Wróciłam na dobre tory i ponownie autorka udowodniła, że jej historie wciąż są dla mnie dobrym wyborem na spokojny wieczór po ciężkim dniu.

This was an interesting story that kept me reading just to see what will happen with Nora, will she overcome her pain, or will she find Happily ever after?
