Wróciłam na dobre tory i ponownie autorka udowodniła, że jej historie wciąż są dla mnie dobrym wyborem na spokojny wieczór po ciężkim dniu.

This was an interesting story that kept me reading just to see what will happen with Nora, will she overcome her pain, or will she find Happily ever after?

A romance in Scotland that broke my heart and that I devoured !
Samantha Young has decidedly a real gift for romances that make you cry >< I really liked following Nora and seeing her grow up and evolve and I fell in love with Aidan (even if I wanted to slap him sometimes ><)
Even if it is not an absolute love at first read (maybe too serious for the current context ?), it was still a very pleasant reading =D

Samantha young just gets better and better!

Honestly one of my favourite books of hers to date!
I loved Norah and Auden, they had so much chemistry and little Silvie brought a whole other layer to the table.
Getting Norahs back story made her struggle all the more real and heartbreaking!!
I want more from them!!

This is a story of Nora who's been through a lot in her life, even though she's really young. To escape from her terrible life situation she moves on impules to Scotland, hoping to have a better life. But after few years she feels dissapointed and realizes that not everything is the way she expected it to be. And that's when she meets Aidan - a guy who, just like Nora, can't move on from some awful events from the past.

I read this book in one sitting and really liked it. For me, this is a novel with many good and likeable characters - Aidan, Seonaid, Roddy, Silvie. Even Nora - she made some weird decisions and said some stupid (and cringey) things but maybe that's what made her a realistic and nice protagonist.

There are basically three things I didn't like about this book:
1. Some scenes where a little bit cringeworthy,
2. Several times it was mentioned that Aidan is "an older man" - I know he is 12 years older than Nora but come on! He like 34 years old which mean he's still pretty young,
3. The synopsis spoiled for me half of the book - that's not really the author's fault but it's still something I really disliked.

No book has ever made me cry more than this one, from start to finish. Any other writer, and this would have a gratuitous amount of trauma for one character, but Samantha Young made it all so real. Nora and Aiden were amazing together, and the tension was un-fucking-believable.

I didn’t like Nora so therefore I couldn’t sympathize or care about her.

I have read many Samantha Young books over the years. I would consider her one of my favorite authors. I was so excited to hear that we were going to get some more books based in Scotland. I have been lucky and spent a couple weekends in Edinburgh. It was love at first sight. There is just something magical there and I think it translates to books that are set there. I think Play On might be one of Samantha's best books. I got the feeling early on that Play On was going to be a great read.

This book is about Nora's journey. It takes place over a few years. I really liked that her journey felt real. This book made me FEEL so many different emotions. They weren't simple, but truly human and complex. I savored this book. I hope that you read this book and enjoy the journey as much as I did.

I hope you enjoy the journey.

This is a great read.

Samantha Young does similar books, I've read a few of her stories now and I must admit they are similar. I do however believe she writes emotional books. Her books never fail (so far) to bring a range of emotions out of me, sadness, happiness, anger etc.. I like that about the books.

I also believe that you can't tune out and read these, you miss details and things you should look at. I am a fast reader and so I do skim sometimes and I do notice myself miss parts.

I liked each of the character. Nora is interesting, shes a kid that has a lot of pressure put on her. Aidan is interesting too he also has a similar amount of pressure. He is older though and I think he acts he same maturity as her, not saying hes immature I think she is very mature and sometimes you forget shes not 30 shes 22.

Liked it.
