I love this story. the way it's written, the way it's told, the characters, the whole thing. I cry with the movie each and every time. so I knew the book would do the same. and it did. cried my eyes out a few minutes before work, just so I wouldn't do it in the train ride home. one of my favorite love stories ever!

This is a short read. It’s not my favorite book ever but I was pretty good. I have watched the movie a few times before. There are differences between the book and movie. First, it’s not as emotional or dramatic as the movie. The book definitely does not skip around as much as the movie does, like past to present. It starts off in the present, then goes back to the past until the very end is the present. In the present he does reflect on different letters, but it doesn’t totally switch back to the past like the movie does. Which I think is good because I really don’t like books that change past to present back and forth the entire time. The ending is also different, they do not die in bed together like in the movie.

I preferred the film. I think it was Rachel McAdams and Ryan Goslings chemistry in the film that made it it so wonderful to watch. I was expecting so much more from the book but I was disappointed. I’m glad when I finished it.

Barf. Definitely not a favorite. Too mushy and uneventful for my liking. The story just kind of dragged on to me. I know a lot of people love this book but I definitely didn't care for it.

This is one of the first times I can say the movie is WAY BETTER then the book.

I love the movie, but the book was disappointing. It wasn't as touching as the movie, and left me unsatisfied at the end.

I had really high expectations about this book, despite my rocky relationship with Mr. Sparks' novels. So many people had said so many great things about the book and I LOVE THE MOVIE. Here, I must say, is a case were the movie is better than the book. Maybe I would feel different if I had read the novel first, but alas, I did not. I will just say that I did not feel the love between young Allie and Noah, only the older couple, however, the end of course still made me bawl my eyes out.
