With many complex characters, double agents, secret agencies, and hidden agendas, BSC (British Security Co-ordination), set up by MI6, and what they were doing in the USA before the Pearl Harbour attack is the central theme of this book.

Overall, this is the kind of book that helps you get over your reading slump. Pick this one if you like spy books with historical fiction backgrounds.

Restless by William Boyd (2006) is an excellent read...a page turner! Spies, espionage, double-agents, family strife, plenty of action and more keep this novel moving right along. Told in a fractured time-line from spy Eva's 1941-ish pov and her daughter's view from 1976 as she weaves herself into her mother's clandestine past. Lot's of sub-plots and colorful characters fill out the book and a fine ending that also leaves the reader in suspense. I'll read more by author William Boys; highly recommended...4 outta 5 Stars!
