Forget Your Morals

I would give this book 3/5 stars. I fear this may be lengthy bc I have thoughts. I definitely had to throw out some of my morals when reading this. at first i was like "yea i mean why cant they be together she was adopted," but then i found out how old they were. i mean they had been performing as cousins for 25 years. i think it would have been better to make them maybe 20 and 21 and she was adopted at like 17. i love how after they found out who each other was after "the hole," he was just like "well we cant really go back" and decided to keep fucking. all his brothers were way too nonchalant about it, all tho it sounds like they were into some weird paris shit themselves. like i wasn't really cringing until the end, she felt abandoned and he didn't abandon her so obviously she got attached. at the end the mom was the only rational person bc i don't give af how happy my child is, they will not be fucking their cousins (not having children, just making a point). like i was all on their side until they were making me cringe by saying "shes adopted, its all legal," like what about the fact its just simply weird and uncomfortable.

The writing just was not for me. It made the characters really one dimensional and I couldn’t stand being in their heads.

“Maybe we can help navigate this time of our lives together. I’ll just have to work on communicating, which sounds revolting, but I need a change.”

“I was always willing to toss these small pieces of me away for them—they were small pieces. What was the big deal? But recently, I figured out that too many pieces of me are gone. I don’t know who I am.”

“I promise. I’m good.” He sighs and stands up from his chair. “When you decide you’re not fine, I’ll be there.”

I loved this book so much. That’s it. Can’t wait to go to Paris next book

Ok….so I almost DNF’d this book because I didn’t realize it was about
glory holes
. 😂 If that’s your bag, more power to you, just not my thing. However, I’m glad I stuck with it because it actually turned into a sweet love story and what I disliked about it didn’t take up the whole book.
