Probs the spiciest book I read in 2024.

Non-blood related cousins accidentally hook up in a sex club (it's anonymous and they can't hear each other) and then, after finding out who each other is, realize they're falling for each other. They did grow up together as cousins, but she was adopted into the family. Personally, this aspect didn't bother me and it was resolved fairly quickly at the end, but they do keep it hidden from the family.

Once again Miss Blue doesn’t disappoint. I am in such a slump and this brought me out a little. I fell in love with this little world when I read the first one and was so excited to learn there’s gonna be more. Lincoln and Pen… they were so much fun to watch. Then watching Lincoln just fight and do whatever to get Pen 🫠 ugh just yes. Then sweet Pen. Her finally putting herself first and do what made her happy and realizing everything was real and it was gonna be ok just made my heart so happy. This little couple. I love them. I can’t wait for the next one 😈

I was in the exact right mood for this. A degenerate mood because wow was this messed up. They're adopted cousins. Let's get that out of the way. They were raised as cousins. And I looked up
Nevada law and you can be charged with a felony for marrying your cousin so is their marriage even valid? Who knows?

I think what I enjoyed most about the forbidden nature of the relationship was that they both found out at the same time. They were anonymously seeing each other at a sex club and when Penny alludes to Lincoln's pseudonym, they both freak out. Well, Lincoln freaks out less. I don't think I would've liked it if one found out earlier than the other and then continued to have sex with their cousin.

I felt the angst, the confusion, the incredulity that Penny and Linc both went through. I didn't mind the time skips to fit the timeline of the previous book which is normally something I hate. But here, if they didn't speak for a month, I was like, I get it. You're a cousin fucker. It's a lot to overcome. You're allowed some space.
That familiarity led them both to open up to each other in a way they hadn't in previous relationships. They still weren't that close before, but by being around each other for so long, there was some sense of understanding of who they were. Penny always changed herself to fit her new partner and Lincoln just never opened up emotionally. He had never said I love you to anyone. Not even his girlfriend of two years who ended up being married with children the whole time.
I liked Linc's brothers reactions. Gavin cracked me up. I'm sure Ben would too but Gavin had like 90% of the dialogue in scenes with both of them in it. All of them were initially like, "what the fuck are you doing, weirdos?" which-valid. But then they would say it makes sense, as long as you're happy.

Penny (29) and Lincoln (36)
Sex club, forbidden, adopted cousins, grumpy/sunshine, he falls first.
This is what I came for. I read a good review for this book but decided to read book one first just for funsies. Both books have the same timeline- and I would probably skip book 1 tbh.
Penny and Lincoln- does this make you think of an actual Penny with Abraham Lincoln on it. Kinda weird name pairing.
Anyways, they’re both having an existential crisis. I would still say the writing isn’t great and it didn’t seem to flow super well. One minute he’s grumpy and saying he doesn’t want her and the next he’s saying I love you, will you marry me.
10 spicy scenes with glory holes and consensual nonconsent. 3.5šŸ”„ During one of the glory hole scenes, there’s a QR code to see a very NSFW drawing of what the scene looks like. That was a fun and interesting surprise. (It’s at the end of Chapter 12 if you wanted to get right to it)

I hope the twins get their own book, I expect all the sharing! Two of the best quotes in the book came from them:
ā€œYour Alabama secret is safe with me.ā€
And when asked about which girl they are going to pick up at the bar-
ā€œWhichever one wants to go to Parisā€ (because the twins are going to Eiffel Tower heršŸ˜‚)
