I don't know how she does it, but Sarah Blue nails it every time.
In this taboo novel we find not blood related cousins, Penny and Lincoln who 'meet' in Avalon, the sex club, in the strangest but hottest setting I've ever read so far. Trust Sarah to make that situation incredibly erotic.
I was curious about Lincoln ever since reading Swallow our Pride, and she did him justice. I have loved how he became instantly obsessed with Penny, how much he trusted his instinct to pursue the relationship and not giving Penny any doubt about what they could be. And some of the things he said were like, wow. Penny was not the only one to fall for him.
I felt empathetic toward Penny's situation. Her instinct and reasons to keep the relationship secret were understandable, but I have loved her growth in this book. How she stepped up in the end for herself and the man she loved. She wouldn't have been able to feel so empowered without Lincoln constant support.
I have loved Jessa and Aiden, but Linc and Penny have topped them!
I want to than Sarah Blue's team for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC for an honest review. And I would strongly reccomend to pick this book up on release day on June 23rd, you won't regret it.

Sooo much to say! Once again, Sarah Blue hits this out of the park! I cannot get over my love for Lincoln and Penny! Having loved them from the first book, seeing their story on paper was so much better than I could imagine! I am such a sucker for a he falls first book so this really hit all my favorites! I hope we get a Gavin and Ben book!

Idk how she made it work but she did. From how the story began, I never could have anticipated how it would end but I really like how the story and characters developed. And while this book takes place during the same timeline as book 1, it didn’t feel like groundhog day and successfully focused on different things which was great.
The MMC was probably the most different in comparison to the MMCs from other books by Sarah Blue but I liked that about him. I don’t think I can say that either the FMC or MMC are my favorite of the Sarah Blue Universe but they feel very real which was cool.
As always, Sarah made me laugh and cry back and forth the whole time. Additionally, the epilogue was genuinely hysterical and had me cracking up.

book opens on a scene in the aftermath of FMC being slapped by person she was dating at the time. Happens off page but is discussed and brought backup briefly again later in book.

Plot: Penny is down on her luck and trying to learn who she is after her traumatizing past. Lincoln is trying to get past his last relationship and struggling to find what he needs. This book is second in the The Carlson Brothers series but can be read as a stand-alone.
Sarah Blue has never disappointed me when it comes to character development and the humor-to-romance ratio! Penny and Linc are the most adorable grumpy/sunshine duo! I am a sucker for the "he falls first" trope and he falls HARD.....Like fall off a cliff hard...chef's kiss!
I felt I became heard with Penny's hardships throughout the book. She kept getting battles thrown left and right and made me feel that if she can overcome and work through what she can, than I can too! (Also who's down to join a smash room with me?)
This book is a forbidden romance, if you'd like to understand why it is forbidden please see spoiler below for how our main couple is connected to ensure this is an appropriate read for you. This spoiler will not contain actual plot spoilers but wanted to include it since it is not listed in the book's blurb.
Penny and Linc are step-cousins. She grew up with Linc as she was adopted by his Aunt. They are not blood related.

This story was so much fun! I could not put it down.
Lincoln and Penny's glorious get together was funny and tense at the same time. I loved watching them try to fight their attraction and failing miserably and was so happy when they eventually said f*ck it and gave in! Plus, I was so happy to see them each finally be able to find themselves thanks to the support of each other.

Lincoln and Penny’s story was a fantastic read! The chemistry was amazing and well-written and I enjoyed both of their development throughout. The spice was on point and honestly, when you read it, the dedication tells you what you need to know.
Overall, it was a fun, spicy, “forbidden” romantic read and I’m glad I was able to read as an ARC.

One of my favorite things about Sarah Blue's writing is her top tier character development, and Forget Your Morals didn't disappoint! Penny's story of personal growth was so relatable and I saw so much of my people pleasing self in her. I loved how Lincoln respected Penny's boundaries (mostly) and just showed her unwavering support as she navigated her emotions. I also thoroughly enjoyed the taboo nature of Penny and Lincoln's relationship, even though this was taboo lite imo (what that says about me, I don't know 😅).

Talk about binge worthy read!
Finished this baby in 22 hours, cause sleep is not important.
Oh man, I am Penny, Penny is me. I related so hard with her and I love her so much. Feeling incomplete and so unsure of yourself when you’re in your late 20’s/early 30’s is so much to process and exactly where I’m at in my life. Molding yourself into what you think someone wants you to be is exhausting and all too relatable.
Penny, unlike me, had Avalon to help. A sex club that entertains all kinds of fantasies for its patrons. 😏 she finds herself connecting with another anonymous guest and now can’t help but wonder who Mr. Wayne is.
Mr. Wayne is Lincoln, her adopted cousin. CHAOS ENSUES. 😈
