This is the perfect Christmas read. Told between two timelines, you follow the story of Ian and Sabrina and Veronica and Grayson. Veronica and Grayson are the definition of right person, wrong time, and when I realized the twist at the end, I literally gasped. I couldn't have written a better ending for their story.

And Ian and Sabrina, who meet on their first night at the Plaza, both find themselves in little white lies about themselves when assumptions get out of control. But the angst is so low, and the romance is so sweet that it's barely an issue in the end.

Add in the Eloise vibes, and this book is everything that my Eloise at Christmastime loving heart wanted when I picked up this book.

Such an unexpected five-star read but well deserved.

DID NOT FINISH: 35%

Was too annoyed at the misunderstandings/lies of the main characters.

One of the most heartwarming and enchanting Christmas stories I've ever read. Even if a little naive, it's still magical and romantic. Absolutely loved it and enjoyed every page. Could be a lil' "too sweet" for some, but a perfect holiday read and definitely recommended

It was a cute and easy read but boring. Nothing really interesting happened.

This book was a Christmas treat! There was so much that I loved in this book…

The plaza setting
A ghostwriter
Graysons former butler tales
All the info on Kay Thompson
The food/ the boutiques
The celeb name drops
Royal family

Its very rare for me to put a book in the category of rereading but I think next holiday season I will be picking this one up again.

I was sent this book on Netgalley because I reviewed another Anita Hughes Christmas romance. Even though this is not my regular genre of choice, I do enjoy Hughes’ writing and potentially liked this one even better than the last one I read.
A Magical New York Christmas is set at the Plaza Hotel- the perfect location for a picturesque holiday story with a unique main character who works as a ghost writer. I love a duel time period and the flashback story was sweet.
I’d recommend this one to cutesy romance fans and holiday story lovers.
