there was so much potential—i LOVE a good roommate romance (for a good one see funny story by emily henry)—but it just fell so unbelievably flat. there was no chemistry between the characters, the love came out of no where, the whole second chance romance obsession irl thing was weird, they did not like each other for the first 80% you cannot convince me of that, and so many plots were picked up and just dropped again; her not having friends but befriending that hook up we were first introduced to, seth??, the mmc’s ex. just too much focus on the ex plot. also, her youtube channel/ig account was so cringe literally who speak like that on social media it remakes of millennial pls stop

I give this book a 4.5/5 but I prefer to round. It was a sweet ode to the genre with all the best tropes. Trevor and Taras banter made me laugh and swoon. Lea did a great job bring us back to the world of the Chen family/Boston.
