I saw this book coming from the begging of twisted love..but still so good.  Jules and Josh are my fav pair this far.   Would love to hear more about sone of the side characters…like Dante perhaps??  (I would say Christian, but I know he’s in twisted lies :)

Rating: 4/5 stars

Jules Ambrose and Josh Chen are sure of one thing—they hate each other. But when they begin an “enemies with benefits” arrangement, they just might realize that fundamental truth isn’t so true after all…

I loved SO MUCH about this book—Jules and Josh are both great MCs and their relationship was surprisingly sweet given that it started as hatred (or at least intense dislike). It was a true enemies-to-lovers romance, which is my absolute favorite trope, so I ate up the banter, tension, and explosiveness with a spoon. And that first date?!?! Let’s just say if someone planned that for me I’d be shopping for wedding dresses immediately.

All of that said, I dropped a star because there was a pair of choices (first an action from Jules and then Josh’s reaction to it) that I could not stand, and while I understand why they ultimately reconciled (that’s not a spoiler, this is a romance novel, come on), I only half forgave Josh myself.

Still, I’m having a BLAST reading this series, and I can’t wait for Stella and Christian’s story in Twisted Lies!

Recommended to anyone, but especially if you like: enemies to lovers; bromance moments; slow-ish burn tension

CW: Grief/death of parent; sexual violence; physical violence

Twisted Hate wasn't as good as the first two; Jules and Josh's relationship story didn't interest me enough. It was nice to watch their relationship grow, but some points made no sense or were a bit cringe; at one point, Josh sounded an awful lot like Alex, which was out of character for his usually sunshine self.

Nonetheless, the Max and Jules plotline was interesting; getting to know Jules and her background better was good. It would have been nice to get to know Josh and his background a bit better; I know we saw some of it from Ava's story in Twisted Love, but it would have been good to see Josh's background from his POV. However, it was good to get some Josh and Alex scenes; they make a great couple.

Twisted Hate was a fun read; it had some tense scenes, but Jules and Josh's banter made for some hilarious scenes. And that ending was pure cheese but fitting for their relationship.

Now it's time to read Twisted Lies, and I have been excited about this since Christian's introduction in Twisted Games.

I liked the book up until the point where the MMC turned into a giant asshole and took his anger out on the FMC by "fucking her" and then saying all this:
"It seems only fitting for us to end things with a goodbye fuck." ... "At least you got an orgasm out of it, so don't say I never gave you anything. I'll miss that tight pussy of yours though. No one takes my cock better than you do. It's your best quality."
To me that's unforgivable, cruel and abusive (he knew what the FMC's been through and still chose to hurt her). I was so angry when she forgave him and they got back together. Finishing the book after that just wasn't enjoyable.
