Priča vredna Džefrija

Sažetak: Kad Dedpul slučajno postane kraj čudovišta, pratimo kako uspeva da se nosi s tom titulom i zaštiti svoje novodobijene podanike.

Pozitivne stvari: Odličan humor, kao i očekivano, uz dosta lokalizovanih šala.

Negativne stvari: Nema.

Ciljna publika: Ljubitelji superheroja i tipično-Dedpulskog humora.

Ocena: Iako je ovo prvi put da se susrećem s Dedpulom u vidu stripa, ovo je za mene lično priča od 5/5 zvezdica.

A somewhat tonal and stylistic change from before, Thompson's direction for Deadpool holds a lot of promise. Setting him as king of the monsters feels like a callback to previous storylines, but now alone at the top and struggling to define himself as something more than a killer in a world that has never gone his way, Wade's journey is set to go in some interesting new directions. Despite his jokes, King Deadpool takes a bit of a solemn direction in its underlying story, charting a new place for Deadpool in the Marvel universe.

But this is not to say the book is without plenty of humor. With a lot of exasperated monsters (and one exasperated monster hunter), along with some laugh-out-loud moments and a most welcome appearance from Jeff, Thompson and this artistic team are off to a strong start for a new chapter of Deadpool's misadventures.

Not my favorite Kelly Thompson joint, but the last issue saved it. Not that I expect dense political intrigue from my Marvel comics, but I feel like Staten Island being taken over by monsters would have more effects. At least make a Wu Tang joke, for crying out loud.

The Kraven arc really didn’t do it for me. It felt like a lot of smashing action figures at each other, which is fine if you do wild things. But the fighting didn’t seem that innovative. I did really enjoy the nuance of the last story, trying to work out how to actually take care of these monsters. Deadpool is a little too #random for me a lot of the time, but it does make his moments of pathos work that much better.

A solid Deadpool story, mostly because of all the supporting characters

Deadpool has to be one of my favorite Marvel characters of all time. I had to see what King Deadpool was all about and it did not disappoint. I'm excited for vol 2 now.
