The writing was *french kiss* despite the occasional swap from time periods it was easy to follow and digest. The characters were enjoyable aka I didn’t fight the urge to toss one of the out the window the whole time. Deserved or not.

It was enjoyable and a fresh storyline overall

Its was just cheesy and nothing really happens. So much rich history around Addie and yet, she is so self absorbed. I didn’t care about any of the characters. I just wanted it to end and couldn’t keep going with it.

This was almost short enough to read in a single sitting. Yet, it was still such a wonderful story. So much packed in! Such a relatable story in that we all want to be remembered. How it all comes together was really well done.

Based off the name, I couldn’t help but compare to the movie The Age of Adaline. Having said that, the book is great while the movie was okay.

What I Liked

The story - I really enjoyed the premise. A girl making a wish and seeing how it plays out between her and Darkness.

The characters - I really enjoyed the characters in this one. You could feel the pain Addie goes through when her parents no longer know her. Sense the excitement when Henry remembers. The suspense between her and Darkness. The characters made it easy to keep going.

What I Didn’t Like

The cursing - this is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It’s a personal preference but I don’t like a bunch of cursing. There was enough language that it would be rated R instead of PG-13.

This book had a great premise and flowed seamlessly through perspectives and timelines, but I did not particularly enjoy the relationship between Luc and Addie. Overall an interesting read!
