Oh god if I’m remembering correctly this was one of the most melodramatic books of the series. Meaning, one of the most melodramatic books I have ever read.

The miscommunication trope is so frustrating! Can't Nikki and Brandon talk to each other? And the way that Nikki is overthinking and overblowing everything out of proportion is getting quite tiring.
