book 4 of my king re-reads

this is the second time i’ve read blaze, and i couldn’t figure out why i didn’t remember anything other than there being a kidnapping. after finishing my reread i remember: it’s just a boring version of of mice and men.

i love king (obviously, he is my number one author) but this is one i will probably forget exists again in a few months, i do wanna reread of mice and men though. love that book xo

This was an interesting combination of Bachman and King writing styles. Not a fantastic book but a fun and easy read.

Our protagonist is likeable, easily led and also does some terrible things. The year is whenever and Blaze is some age as adult who grew up a ward of the state and spent some years in prison.

The four stars rating is rounded down from 4.5. I really enjoyed this offering from King as Bachman. It’s not a horror in the classic sense, but the events are horrific and sad. Really, really sad sometimes.
