Set in Sugarbush Bay, a small coastal town in South Africa full of all the close knit community and all the meddling you'd hope for in a small town contemporary romance, Single Dads club was SO angsty, delicious, and sweet. I truly hope we get a story for each of the dads who form Rowan's squad!!

Beharrie has a way of imbuing her romances with this hint of sadness and ennui that then becomes so utterly romantic, and this is no exception. you are going to have major feelings as new dad Rowan learns that he can be a father (and not like his absentee parents) AND have a life of his own, with former heiress Delilah.

I also so appreciated the co-parenting in this book - Rowan is living with his child's mother, but they are not interested in trying to have a relationship after their one-night stand and an attempt to date after she discovers she's pregnant. I really hope she gets her HEA with one of the dads (I saw what you did there at the end Therese!!)

ALSO - a must listen on audio - the narrator is delicious

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This story follows single father Rowan and former heiress Delilah. After a one night stand Rowan never thought becoming a father would come from that. Delilah is working at a coffeehouse and is still dealing with past trauma from her upbringing. After meeting the two share an instant attraction but Rowan is unwilling to react on that for most of the story. The fact that Rowan and his baby mother live together but are not in a relationship at all was odd to me. Even with them just trying to coparent. It took me a couple of days to get through this one which never is good for me. I just didn’t feel like I. Injected with the characters at all. Overall this one left me wanting more.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

2.5 ⭐️- I really tried to like this but it was just ok. I had higher expectations and I was let down. I did like the brotherhood of the dads club but Rowan’s anxiety was crippling to me and I know some people suffer from this but it aggravated me through this story.

This wasn’t what I was expecting from this book, but I actually ended up really enjoying it! This was a story about finding love (and finding yourself) after your life changes. The MCs were both incredibly endearing and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow and discover new things about themselves and each other.

Honestly, for me, this story could’ve gone on longer as I felt like there was more I wanted from it. Don’t get me wrong, I was happy with the ending, but I wouldn’t be mad at an extended version

3.75 stars. I was really charmed by this story. I’ve not read many southern African romances at all and I really connected with the culture. I loved the small town vibe as well and I did care for the characters although I did find myself sometimes bogged down by their emotional baggage? But I truly appreciate the reality this book tried to convey.

This Cover is Beautiful!!!

I really enjoyed Single Dads Club. We have Rowan who unexpectedly becomes a father and Delilah who is literally the girl next door. Both have been neglected as children and it was nice to see how they are working on themselves to heal as adults. It is fun to see how they get to know each other and figure things out. There was a little spice towards the end!

Thank you NetGalley, Montlake, and Therese Beharrie for this ARC in exchange for an honest Review.

so wholesome!!

This author dealt with the topics in this book with such sensitivity and grace. The entire story was actually so wonderful and the characters have so much depth. I love how this book didn’t have the stereotypical “baby momma” and Rowan’s was a perfect addition to this story. I really enjoyed spending time with everyone of these characters. I hope to see a sequel.
