very well written especially the description of patrick's dissociation. to me this was about unchecked power in the culture of the rich and privately educated and how that damages the most vulnerable people around them.

This was amazing ! Unlike anything I’ve ever read before. The way it seamlessly flows between the perspectives of the ensemble of characters, sentence to sentence - it’s so good !!! And it’s so shocking and dark and sad too, and that’s jarring with the funny tone but in a good way. And the whole time I was asking “what about Patrick??? What ABOUT PATRICK???????” and the answer always goes back to the genius title: “never mind”. And it’s so dark !! And so good !!! Patrick was the centre of the whole thing and completely invisible at the same time. It was so clever how did he do it ??
