This was enjoyable. I did kind of see the ending coming which I don’t mind because it’s so short. I kind of like the message of this. (Not the murder, about animal cruelty).

This is my first novella. Well I’ll be honest I never knew what a novella was before this. 😬 This is a super quick read. I finished it in a hour. I loved the underlying humor from Shelby while talking to Detective Grady. Everyone’s story is matching up perfectly…Shelby clearly knows everything that’s going on with these peoples lives. But just what the heck is going on?!? I love Samantha Downkng books and had to have this as soon as I seen it. Great little read.

My first novella! I enjoyed it, knowing it would be wrapped up in just a couple hours of listening made listening to the mystery unfold intriguing in a new way.

This was a quick read (listen) included in AudiblePlus. A murder mystery in three parts. We hear from Shelby, the dog-walker, who discovered the body, then from the detective, then from the murderer. All in all, I think this is a book for dog-lovers. A dog, dog-walking, is integral to the story. I'm more of a cat person, so I don't know that his clicked as much for me ;) I thought it was a little eye-rolling, over the top, but it kept my interest while I was listening. I don't know how much I'll really remember it in the long run though.

My first novella; felt a little “underbaked” though.
