I thought this book a was alright. There was a lot of swearing which is one thing I'm not to fond of when it comes to reading. I honestly think that it's important to have books written about mental illnesses by people who have them. Those of us who don't understand what's it's like to deal with these things every day can look into the mind of a fictional person for a few days and have more compassion and sympathy for those who do struggle in real life.
I think that Daisy is a little blunt and too brutally honest, but that's how it is sometimes in life. When you don't know why your friend does the things they do it can be exhausting trying to have empathy for them because you don't know how they feel.
I would recommend this book to people to bring up the awareness of people who struggle with mental illnesses and such.

john green. what a man. i know his works aren’t for everyone. they’re for the mentally ill, deeply philosophical, and incredibly cynical people in the world. hence, i can appreciate the beauty that is a john green book. somehow, he has managed to make every single character far too relatable. he forces the characters to deal with grief and loss like every other teenager; i love that not everything can be resolved and perfect because it reflects real life. i love john green bruh

It's John Green. There's nothing else to say besides obviously I loved it. Nothing can beat Looking for Alaska, but you can really see and feel the anxiety Aza (and John Green) feels on a daily basis in this book. It's such a quick read, and I'm always excited to read anything John Green writes.

TATWD is not a bad book, but let’s just say I got it at Readings for $10 from the bargain table and I’m glad I did. Unfortunately, nothing John Green writes will ever again have the cultural impact of “Okay? Okay.”

"Ljudi često govore da postoji jasna crta između mašte i stvarnosti. Ali ne postoji, barem za mene. Sjećam se onoga što sam zamišljala i zamišljam ono čega se sjećam."

Izvrstan stil pisanja, divno razrađeni likovi, ali tema nestalog milijardera uh, nekoliko puta sam skoro ne-dovršila inače odličan roman. Nastavljam s Greenom.

very ya. I liked the concept of the overall story and reading Aza’s thoughts was interesting, but I could not get into any of the other characters. Daisy was irritating, Davis was annoyingly “deep”, and Mychel was just there sometimes.
