Honestly? I absolutely loved this. Perfect entertainment in my opinion. Part of my enjoyment is probably this being my first King novel, so I don’t have the context for how good or not good it is in the grand scheme of his works, but I just enjoyed reading this about as much as any book I’ve read in my life. I was genuinely looking forward to reading it when I got home by the end I was nearing the end. Rare that a book has me wanting to pick it up as much as this one did. Can’t wait to read more King.

Feeling a little at a loss about how this even makes me feel...
I love King's work when real humanity/human experience intertwines with a fantastical or supernatural situation, and the metaphor is alive and breathing.
But this was also another classic King issue: too. fucking. long
Seriously, this book did not have to be more than 800 pages! It could have easily capped at 700, if not less. He needs a new editor, tbh (Call me, Stephen).
