Quizá simplemente no he entendido el punto.

A synesthetic snapshot of a mountain and its madness. The first chapter is written from the POV of a lightning storm, and is among the best things I have ever read. The web of characters is sparse, strong, and intricately interwoven, like the Pyerenees themselves. Mushrooms, mountains, lightning, ghosts, freedom fighters, butchers - all of the denizens are equally represented in their affect & effect on their mountain.

Weird & wonderful! The book has so many different perspectives, including animals and the earth. It was a very thought-provoking and different read.

4.5 stars. So insanely good! The writing is immaculate, the creativity of all the different perspectives, and the balance of fantasy and realism! Genuinely just such an incredible book!
