Arthurian legend mixed with fae is something I was excited to read, and for the most part it delivered.
I enjoyed Morgan being the main character and Arthur the villain, but I couldn’t get past how naive Morgan was. She seemed to believe whatever she was told even though she saw evidence to the contrary.
I am hoping book 2 has some more character development.

This was a great Arthurian retelling. Morgan has a secret, and she's fled in hopes of saving her own life, and that of her people. She doubts her brother Arthur's decisions now, seeing the ruthless king he's become.
Traveling with her guard who she's learning to trust, they find another companion who she finds also holds her attention. A great journey and a twist I never expected.

I could not put this book down- I devoured it within one day. I loved the world building and the characters. Cannot wait to read book 2! Queen of Roses is excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough!
It took me a while to get into the story, but I really enjoyed it by the end! Getting to book 2 asap!

This was a great read - the pacing was good, so I was on the edge of my seat reading and constantly compelled to read another chapter!
1 star off as the book goes a little too fast in the end - I think the climactic scenes could have been a bit longer to truly pay off.
I will be reading the next one!
