The book was cute there were times that I would giggle to myself over Rowan and I would tell myself to calm down that he isn’t real. His love for Zahra was cute until he became a dick and said horrible things to Zahra while she was in the HOSPITAL and RECOVERING from pneumonia. If that didn’t happen I would’ve given this book a five stars but it’s whatever. And people hate on Zahra but she’s a lot like me personality wise (not the whole positivity thing just the whole “don’t think about his dick” and liking historical romance) but I did find her annoying some times. And the best character of all were Cal and Ani I don’t care what anyone says. As a fellow middle child I love Cal and I can’t wait to read his story. And Ani was just so lovable I just wanted to hug her and when she protected her sister after Rowan broke her heart made me proud of her.

The sex scenes made me blush and crack a smile almost caused me to jump and run around my room when he told Zahra to say that she was his. But this book has A LOT of dick jokes or mentions of dicks.

🇬🇧: Damn this book broke me. I was totally invested in the story and I finnished it in no-time. I was also totally invested in love stories and I was irritated at Rowans actions sometimes. I even cried during this book.. it is so easily written that you don't notice that you already read a lot of pages! I can't wait to start in part two

I first picked up this book because I’ve seen it recommended on a couple of book groups I’m in. Romance is a genre I’ve been getting into and enjoying. However, I don’t think this book hit the spot for me. It was okay, but it felt forced in some places, predictable and sometimes a little childish. I don’t know if this was because I found the main character slightly unlikeable, as a lot of her dialog/attitude reminded me of what I thought of life when I was 13.

Regardless of all the above, I did complete it and found it mostly enjoyable.

I can excuse murder but I draw the line at exploiting minimum wage employees.
