I have thoughts about where book 3 will take us, but book 2 flipped what I thought was going to happen on its head - so who knows how Rebecca is actually going to complete this trilogy.

I can't say enough good stuff about this second entry in the Bristlebrook Brutes world. First things first a bit darker in the beginning with some violence, death (not MCs) and mental health dealings. Read the trigger warnings! I personally found the subjects were well written and handled with care.
Now for the fun stuff! This is a reverse harem book with plenty of kink. Lots of character building that is pretty involved and realistic. One thing I really do enjoy about this series and this author is her ability to navigate the individual characters and their relationships with each other not just Eden (MFC). They aren't all bffs who just so happen to want the same woman. Lots of interesting and dynamic sexual scenes that don't feel repeated or even basic. Omg chapter 32....you've been warned! If you feel so inclined I do highly recommend the audio books. I typically am not an audiobook fan. I have a hard time hearing voices for the characters not quite matching what I hear in my mind however these were so well done and the narration cast is amazing! It really feels like everyone put lots of thought and effort into making the audio match the actual story and characters which does not always happen in audiobooks in my experience. The audiobooks are definitely worth the splurge.
The book introduces more characters that feel realistic and vital to the story. I heard (or read) a little something that a spin off with these characters is in the works...or in the future plan which makes me so happy! I love tragic characters that actually have to work to overcome and be together.
My only negative, which is not really a negative, is that this book has a cliffhanger ending. Not as traumatic as the first book but still emotionally I took this one pretty hard. I am worried how these characters I have grown to love will handle the fallout in the next book....which has been hinted to be released summer this year hopefully! I am amazed at that soon of a release date honestly but so very very grateful to the author, Rebecca Quinn.
Also as someone who reads their fair share of smut over many, many, many genres and tropes I must say this book is well written and engaging especially in a genre that sometimes use very repetitive language. I found the crafting fresh, interesting and gratifying. Please do yourself a favor and read this series, starting with the first one of course!

This series is so goddamn good I can’t get enough. The writing is amazing and I laughed out loud many, many times while reading. I loved seeing the growth in Dom and Jasper throughout and I can’t wait to see where Jayk ends up in book 3.
Also - this book covered aspects of sadism and BDSM culture which I find FASCINATING as I know literally nothing about it.
Pretty heart broken that I have no idea when the next one comes out with that CLIFF HANGER!!!! Jfc. I need a release date pronto.
