This book got my giggling and kicking my feet! I really enjoyed the emotional intelligence throughout this book by most of the main characters. Even when Marcella was struggling - she was aware of what was going on or at least was trying to figure out internally why. I really enjoyed that development! I also enjoyed that the two main characters didn’t get together to “take revenge” on the bride and groom! I think it was a really fun read!

I loved this book! The character's HEA was messy, but in a wonderful and realistic way. If you're a big library or book fan, you will fall in LOVE with this romantic interest. Lovely, lovely book!

The Next Best Fling was such a good book to kick off this new series. Marcella has been in love with her best friend for as long as she could remember. When he gets engaged she doesn’t know how to act and neither does her best friend’s brother, Theo. They agree to fake date as Marcella figures out her feelings for Ben and Theo’s feelings for Ben’s fiancee.

The author does a great job in depicting growth in Marcella’s character. She goes from being someone who gets walked on to learning how to be confident and bold. The compassion and care that Theo held for her made my heart melt. I truly loved watching their interactions and found myself wanting more.

While I really enjoyed the book, I do wish we got a follow up to Theo’s relationship with Ben. I still was left with questions about what life looked like in the future. Overall though, this was a cute and easy read!

This was cute and the fake dating aspect didn't bother me since they were clearly just actually dating with commitment issues.

My big big issue was just that they made a character unnecessarily villainous and I think it would have been waaay better if they weren't.
