I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll hero who prevailed despite having shade cast on him throughout the book. The heroine’s love of books and her job was charming. I gobbled this book down in basically a day. I’m looking forward to Gabriella Gamez’s next book.

The majority of this book is miscommunication but turned up to 11. For everyone. Even the “close friends” are all just keeping things to themselves and lying and meh. Sometimes it makes sense for the character/situation, but there’s just a lot of it.

I didn’t love this but I didn’t hate it either. The writing style wasn’t my favourite as some parts were really repetitive and there were some really weird descriptions that just threw me off. The author definitely can write a narcissistic douchebag character though 😂
