Ally and Dominic's story is funny fast paced and lovable. I always enjoy the strong female characters that Lucy writes, flaws and all, but Ally's pride sometimes drove me to insanity, like "Girl, you can ask for help sometimes!!" but her grit and determination were admirable none the less. I also love how comfortable many of the characters are with their sexuality. They all seem to know what they want, what they like and enjoy the chase of gettting it. They know what they are worth. I found this idea of worth particulatly intriguing as we watch Ally's forey into exotic dancing. I love that there is the debate between self-worth and need and the focus is on that and not the sleeze factor.
As always there are relatable side characters, lovable BFF's, I particularly enjoyed Linus. He was fun.
All in all its the "Devil Wears Prada" but fun, its a Billionaire Workplace Rom-Com post #metoo and the women hold all the power in a not eye-roll kind of way.

the mmc is supposed to be 45 but hurls insults at the women in his life like a prepubescent boy that doesn’t know how to communicate his feelings. one star for the dog, one star for the devil wears prada vibes. this one just wasn’t for me 😕
I have read many of Lucy Score's novels and this one is far and away my favorite. It's such a great enemies to lovers office romance. I don't like it when the MMC has too much self-hatred, but Lucy Score did it perfectly: Dom's self-hatred is based in insecurities that have a root in reality and the way he fights himself is so real and honest.

This was a DNF at 6%. It was messy and I wasn’t invested in anyone to force myself to finish. Came here to check the reviews and glad I did.
