Good enemies-to-lovers banter for the first 40-50%, but a bit too much possessive, borderline stalker alpha for me from Dom. Plus why are these 40-45 year olds acting like 25 year olds? Still, finished in basically a day (yay to upping the Corona Days book count!) so ultimately not a bad read.
Omg this book was a rollercoaster but I LOVED it! So salacious and funny. This is one of the longest books I’ve ever read so I’m proud of myself for that. But for how long it was, I never got bored of it. This was my first Lucy Score read and I can’t wait to read more of her books!
I was really obsessed with this book until the third act breakup, after that it kind of lost me a little bit but still 4 stars because up until that point I was loving it

To me, this was more grumpy x grumpy. Dominic is king grump - like Ally literally calls him Grumpy Grump Face. And while not completely grumpy, she’s just as stubborn as he is and they clash so hard it’s funny. I feel like it low-key turns into enemies to lovers.
The story? Dominic works at a magazine that his family has been running for years. Upon a bad day and eating lunch with his mom, he gets his waitress fired from the pizza shop that they’re eating in. In return? His mom offers her a job because she doesn’t back down and is just as stubborn. They both have things that they’re working through and I think that is what made me love their dynamic.
Tropes? So now we get an office romance with some great enemies to lovers.
Ya’ll know enemies to lovers isn’t like my absolute favorite… BUT this was executed very well and had me hooked and intrigued. There was never a moment where I was like “why???” which I think is always a plus.

Dominic Russo may just be the hottest hero Lucy Score has written.
I mean wow. He was the true definition of man in streets, savage in the sheets.
A lethal combination of vests, tattooed forearms and the scowl to go along with it.
Yes, the story is lengthy and that slow build up between Dominic and Ally makes you bite your nails down to nubs wondering when will they??
But, when they do...there goes your panties because all that slow burn was not for naught.
These two together leave your kindle sizzling. Of course be prepared for classic hilarious Lucy Score that keeps you entertained from page one to the very last. I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.

Lucy, girl...YESSS!
By a Thread gives you everything you're looking for and I devoured it. Enemies to lovers, two amazing main characters, a rescue dog, and am opening scene that will have you howling!
Dominic is a rough exterior who recently became the creative director for his family's business after a scandal. Aly is a graphic designer who recently moved back to New Jersey to help with her sick father. She's working to make ends meet.
The chemistry between Dom and Aly is smoking hot. You can feel the connection even from the very first time they meet. You don't want to miss the journey between Maleficent and Grumpy Grump Face.
I loved everything about this book. I loved every single character. I loved how badass Aly is. I love Dom's sexiness. I love that this story goes a bit deeper with some issues. I.just.love.this.book.
If I could give this book a million stars, I totally would!!!

This was so funny and cute. Ally and Dom were a true grumpy sunshine duo with amazing chemistry. Ally is a take no crap strong independent FMC. She does what ever is necessary for the ones she’s loves. Dom is a grumpy ass who under all his history has a heart of gold. He is trying to prove he’s not his father so much he becomes a different version of his dad in the sense he lets no one in. Ally breaks down his barriers immediately and he’s a goner. It was funny, sexy and a well worth it slow burn!

This was a dish of Lucy score very rich secret softy grump with funny strong fmc ( who is not rich ) I didn’t love Dom as much as all the men from knockemount but I had a good time and my heart and other body parts did all the same things . ( was worried I wouldn’t recover from the third act but I did surprisingly Go Lucy )
