3.9/5 - I liked this better than things we never got over but there are def some cringe parts (the dancing was tough). reminded me of devil wears prada a bit (with an unfortunate sprinkling of step up, but luckily that was few and far between)

Too long!! I actually really enjoyed this book, but good grief, it’s almost 550 pages… no romance novel needs to be this long!

So I actually love the banter in the book, until like the middle of it, afterwards it just got repetitive.
I didn't like that the characters are ub their 30-40s yet they act like they are 20 year something.
The 3rd act breakup just wasn't that interesting.

i DNF’d this book with like 150 pages left i couldn’t do it anymore. i hated the main character so much it was pure torture lol

I went into this with such high expectations after absolutely loving The Things We Never Got Over that I can’t help feeling a little disappointed after finishing this

I did love the banter and back and forth between Ally and Dom but towards the end the story felt a little predictable

Rating and Review

Rating: 3.25 Stars

If I had to sum up my feelings for this book in one word: meh. The story dragged on longer than was necessary, and then concluded by resolving every open storyline in the same scene at the very end. Dominic’s character development wasn’t believable to me. It felt too inconsistent and abrupt, like he had a personality disorder. I also don’t understand why Score decided to make Dominic Ally’s anonymous benefactor for his redemption arc, since the majority of the story was Ally not wanting to accept handouts from anyone, and their falling out was due to Dominic accusing Ally of using him for his money and reputation.
