You guys! This FREAKIN’ book!!!!! I have found a new book boyfriend and his name is Dominic Russo. He was a sexy, grumpy, swoony dirty talkin’ hunk and fell hard for him. I absolutely loved the banter between these two characters, seriously laugh out loud funny. Ally was the ultimate sunshine girl and I loved her resiliency despite all she has gone through. The spice in this book was
funny tense slow-paced

3.5⭐️ There were moments where I was loving everything but it felt like it took SO LONG to get to anything exciting. I wanted more moments of Dominic and Ally as a couple and the epilogue felt so rushed. However, it was cute and made me smile!

——AN OKAY SLOWBURN WITH A DRAG OF A PLOT.

SYNOPSIS : Dominic and the pizza girl Ally get off on the wrong foot from the moment he steps inside the pizza place to meet his mother the owner of Label a famous magazine company. Later Dominic’s mother offers Ally a job at the company as compensation for his bad behaviour and desperate Ally accepts it. So Ally working at Dominic’s company who already hates her guts but at the same time can’t get her out his mind things are obviously gonna take a big turn in theirs life but will this annoying yet enticing attraction do them any good?

CHARACTERS :

Um I really like Ally’s character. She this firm no bullshit woman and really loved how she didn’t let dom in easily and even made him work for it in the end. Also her determination and love for her father was so sweet and it did not annoy me at all.

Whereas Dominic in fact did manage to annoy me, him literally lusting after her half the book and then still not doing anything about it and not even allowing her to live her life in peace was meh but I did completely hate it cuz I understood where he was coming from but I feel the author could have portrayed it in a much better way.

ROMANCE :

There was Basically the whole I want you but I can’t have you trope going on. The beginning was a lot of lusting for each other especially dom lusting after ally but the tension between them was next level.

Surprisingly I enjoyed the romance aspect of the book more towards the end when they’re finally in a relationship which I never do, I usually like the whole part where two characters are getting to know each other so that was new.

4 stars on the smut scale for me
challenging emotional funny hopeful lighthearted slow-paced

Indescribably Awesome

I really don't even know how to describe this book. I have been reading romance for 29 years and I honestly feel this was one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of reading. My emotions were all over the place. I was laughing and crying and smiling and drooling and so much more. I never knew from one second to the next what emotion I would be feeling. The characters were so relatable and believable. I could feel their emotions. There was another entire story going on in the background of the main story. Some things I expected along the way while others truly shocked me. I did not want this book to end!

Too long for what the story is, and the characters are too old to be acting this way. I’m 26 and I found them quite immature.

I don’t normally rate books I don’t finish but I read 75% so I’m rating it.
I really loved the banter and sexual tension between Dom and Ally, for some reason I thought she was a lot younger than she ended up being. I wish I would have found out her age earlier I would’ve pictured her differently. There was a lot of funny parts in this book and fir that reason I will go on to read another if Smoke’s books.
Unfortunately, I felt that they got together too soon and just got bored with it, knowing roughly what would happen. Skimming through and the end of the book, the emails from Dom weren’t something I was a fan of. For someone so assertive he should’ve been knocking on her door but writing emails. I DNF’d at close to 500 pages and skimmed through the rest.
