Fantastisch!

Het verhaal sluit mooi op het vorige boek aan. En dit boek is echt heel goed geschreven. Niets is wat het lijkt, en het verloopt ook niet zoals je één, twee, drie verwacht. Vijf sterren!

Yasssss Rokesby book 2 is just as fire (dare I say more?) than book 1! The plot was very interesting and different from any of the typical love story routes JQ has taken in her other books. As a history nerd, I was also obsessed w the Revolutionary War aspects of this story!!! Rlly hype for book 3 to say the least.

These are so comforting and I really understand why they are so popular. They are well written, unpretentious. Rokesby-series #2 landed very well with me and kept me company during a sleepless night like an old friend.

Cecilia travels to the colonies to take care of her injured brother to escape her nasty cousin after her father dies. However, her brother has disappeared by the time she arrives, but his best friend is badly injured. To take care of him she says she is his wife.

Maybe a 3.5, light beach reading.

This felt more like what I've come to expect from JQ than did _Because of Miss Bridgerton_. The dialog and interplay between Cecelia and Edward was adorable and heart-wrenching. There were points, of course, where I'd have loved to slap 'em both out of their stupidity, but there was no doubt that they were supposed to be together. And the teaser at the end about Andrew's story..... I CANNOT WAIT to find out what's meant by that!
