I had a lot of fun with this story but there were quite a few plot holes that I hope get answered in the other books! I loved the way Willow uses her green magic, it's really fun and creative! I hope to see more of the other witches powers in book 2. One thing that I don't paricularly care for is when the FMC comes out swinging, strong, hard headed, and bad ass and seems to loose sight of that fire because of a man. While I know Willow's story isn't over, I hope she regains some of her fire in book 2! Excited and hopeful to see what's in-store for the rest of the series!
Absolutely obliterated by this story!!! OMG!!! Even with a guess on the plot twist I still did not expect that!!!! Holy cow!!! I can't wait to read the next book!!!

Damn. This story had so much potential, I literally felt the author go "Oh crap, I need to start wrapping this plotline up". While the premise has substance, the main characters weren't given enough development for me to feel engaged. The plot had too many holes and made me feel scattered in trying to piece together the main goal. Romance took centre stage, and that's perfectly alright...but the enemies-to-lovers trope didn't exist and made the romance just downright confusing.
A shame.
A shame.

no the book wasn’t perfect, but my GOD was it fucking amazing. i rate books based off of my enjoyment and experiences while reading - i know most reviewers are hella engaged in critiquing writing style and other aspects of the book but i read to enjoy, not to be overly critical. with that being said: i. am. shook.
the magical system of this world was incredible and i absolutely LOVE the way that it was portrayed and explained. the characters SLAYED BIIITCHESSSS EEEE!!! this book was an absolute whirlwind from start to finish like wow. i was hooked from the frickin get go and it never let up. action packed to the brim, i was never bored, and i wanted more. immediately after this review i will be starting the second book.
!!!!!SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON!!!!!
okay. i LOVE willow. she was absolutely badass and i think what sets her apart from most FMCs for me is the fact that she was powerful from the get go - not a little girl who needed to be taught how to wield power. i absolutely loved how she never faltered from her morals and continued to question everyone and everything in order to restore the old ways of magic.
GREY. MY MAN. i expected a much more villainous character based on the TW at the beginning but i didn’t think he was as horrible as we were lead to believe. he just wanted to get back to his body and HE WANTS TO LOVE her
