Had some very humorous and thoughtful moments. The stories kind of seem to jump all over the place, but I still enjoyed learning more about Amy and how she sees the world and her life.
I just love her. I love that she went deep in this book (rape, domestic abuse, parental issues, gun control - nothing funny about any of these), but still had me laughing out loud. A real book by a real person.
Audio, read by the author.
Not sure why I ended up picking this one; I'm not an Amy Schumer fan. There were some funny parts. If you like her comedy, you'll like her book. Since I'm not a fan, I wasn't really a fan. I actually enjoyed the parts where she was being sincere more than the parts when she was trying to be funny. Quick read/listen, either way.

I will confess I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. I mostly haven't connected with Schumer's work but I enjoyed "I Feel Pretty" and a fellow reader recommended this to me so I listened to it over the weekend. I was surprised how relatable Schumer was and I appreciated how raw and real she was in regards to body image, flaws, and perhaps most of all, regarding family dysfunction. I have a newfound respect for her, even if her own humor doesn't always hit the mark with me. I would however, truly enjoy another book by her!
A number of friends have loved and laughed over this book but I just didn't find it that funny. Interesting life story over all.
The thing about this is that either you like Amy Schumer and her style, or you don't. And if you don't, you probably won't enjoy the book, as I thought the way she tells stories and her stand up is super similar to her writing style.
I think Schumer is, on the whole, pretty funny, so I enjoyed this. Done in this style (the same style of Bossypants, Why Not Me, Yes Please, and other memoirs) some chapters are real hits and some are misses. And some of it is really funny, and some of it is surprisingly heartfelt and deep. I thought she was easy to relate to, and that if I met her, we might be friends.
Definitely an easy sell to patrons, provided they're familiar with Schumer's work.

The book was ok. It had funny moments and some serious moments. If you enjoy Amy you will probably like the book. It is a quick read.
This book was so funny and raw. She has a great sense of humor and made me laugh through out the entire book.
This wasn't the laugh out loud memoir I had anticipated, but I loved the beautiful, poignant stories told in Amy's own voice.
