“My kingdom," he said softly. "For your hand.”

What a wretched cliff hanger.

This book was definitely supreme to the first book. The way I flew through the pages and consumed the words. The character developments, the twists and turns of events, the TENSION?!, and the world building was put together so nicely.

Mafi does such a good job at keeping readers on their toes. The way I was constantly expecting certain outcomes, only to have something else entirely happen. It was like I was a rollercoaster waiting for the drop and nothing happens. The anticipation was reallll.

Mafi sucks readers back into the world of the lush middle east filled with dark magic, hidden secrets, and thrilling romance. After the exploding *literally* tragic events at the royal ball, Alizeh is whisked away on a dragon, with her enemy, who she is somehow marrying and Kamran is left with dealing with the pain of knowing all the people he thought he knew and loved betrayed him. As our characters battle the aftermath of these events, they discover that not everything about the world, or people, is what they seem.

The way I screamed, and kicked my feet as I had fits of giggles whenever Cyrus and Alizeh were interacting?! It was like every chapter with Alizeh's POV, so thank you Mafi. Thank you. All I gotta say is enemies to lovers >>>>>

This trope will be and forever will be supreme.

I don't care what anyone says. THIS! is the best trope.

I need the next book ASAP, because . . . I need to Cyrus and Alizeh to be end game. If they are not, I think I will start a riot. the end.

Go read this book. Read this series. Now. The first book is slower, but girly pops. You will not regret holding strong and reading this. I pinky promise you.

Slightly better than the last one but the WHOLE book was Cyrus’ yearning for Alizeh???? I’m sorry that is NOT a plot tiu are just writing aime fan fiction now. Whatever i like this one better because it is more descriptive of the surroundings. Better plot?-HELL NAHH but we are learning about the history and background needed for the book so i don’t mind
