LOVEEE THESE BOOKS!!
The writing? Perfect. The storyline? Perfect. The characters? Perfect!
Reading this made me feel utter happiness as I watched Savannah and Cael grow. Their support for eachother is as special as special can be.
And I loved how the entire group on the grief trip grew as close as close can be.
This book has taught me so much about grief and how other cultures handle the loss of a loved one. It is extrem beautiful.
(Now, the only thing I'm waiting for is Ida's story. Then I'll be forever complete.)

TW: Suicide and sibling loss..
I'm honestly dying to change the rating to give it a full five but i just, i can't...
A Thousand Boy Kisses had really taken a toll on me, when I read it and I still can't think about it without full on crying, so it's safe to say I was crying this entire book too...
It's honestly heartbreaking to see how sibling loss can affect a person so much and I can honestly understand because I know what Poppy had meant to Savannah, Poppy had been the brightest star in the sky, the most beautiful one, the most positive one...and reading about her death in the last book had put me in a reading slump...
How Rune and Poppy's relationship was portrayed was just...soul-shattering...the entire thing...
It was one of the saddest books I've ever read..
Cael & Savannah are so meant for each other...
The book is about Savannah and Cael having lost their elder siblings and then meeting on a trip meant for troubled teens...
Savannah lost her sister, Poppy due to cancer
Cael lost his brother, Cillian due to suicide...Cael watched him do it, not realizing until it was too late...
Both the FMC and MMC had great relationships with their elder siblings, both of them were broken into a thousand pieces after losing their loved ones...
The others too on the trip had heartbreaking stories...
The entire five country trip they all took helped them heal, we got to see their journey, dealing with various stages of grief and finally acceptance. (England, Norway, India, Philippines and Japan)
They paid tributes to them in the most beautiful way ever. Savannah became an oncologist for children. Cael continued to play hockey and achieve his and his brother's dream..
And the epilogue...oh god...he proposed at the place where it all started, Lake District, England..
I'm grateful to God, for I haven't lost a loved one of mine...and I respect and sympathize with everyone who has...because I can't even imagine something, grief like that...
It was truly a beautiful book, cheesy, but heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time...
I just wish Ida gets a book too...or maybe Anton....who knows...

This book is everything to me. I know what it’s like to lose someone in your life. I’ve known my whole life. And this book has demonstrated every struggle I’ve had and still have to go through.
All the characters were amazing. Seeing how they uplifted each other through the toughest moments but also laughed, smiled, and just simply live was everything and more. Seeing the character growth of everyone is really the center of this book for me. Finding a community like that is something I hope to find one day.
I have never cried like I have for this book. I cried throughout the book. Sad, happy, mad, all the emotions were expressed through my tears. From the dedication to the acknowledgements I loved this book. I wished it would never end. But as the book said, nothing ever truly ends.
I’ve learned soooo much through the book. Grief is always different for everyone. Everyone goes through it differently at different paces. I know that now. Death will always be a tough topic for me but maybe as Savannah, Cael, Travis, Dylan, Lili, Jade, and everyone else found the tools to handle the grief, I will too. Maybe I’ll also pick up the thousand broken pieces of myself.
Being the same age as Savannah and seeing how her life panned out, all I can hope is that I will find that path too. Maybe one day I’ll find my Rune as she did. But more than that, I hope to travel multiple countries and live for the people I lost.
