This was a pretty good continuation of the story begun in book one, however I felt is suffered a bit from middle book syndrome. I had trouble getting into it as much as I did the first one.

That being said, it definitely picked up momentum towards the end, and set up some interesting threads to be explored in the next (final?) book.

The prose is good, and the characters are interesting for the most part.

I'll be continuing this series.

I absolutely adore the narrative style of this book. The use of the narrator as his own character spectating the multiverse is absolutely brilliant. The characters are written in a way that you cannot help but to root for them. My main qualm would be that this book, similar to its predecessor, ended just as you feel that the story is going somewhere. That is not a bad quality in and of itself depending where the rest of the series will go. I definitely think the author will deliver in the next chapter. I definitely would recommend this book, and cannot wait for the next one however long it takes.

I absolutely loved No Gods No Monsters by Cadwell Turnbull and I was so excited to see a sequel to this world.

We Are The Crisis was just as amazing as the first book. The multiple characters, storylines, and universes are easier to separate in this book than in the first book and we (the reader) gets to really get to know these characters. There’s mystery, intrigue, and terror in each storyline and I couldn’t put the book down (I finished it in less than 48 hours).

These multiple storylines conclude in an epic finale. We Are The Crisis is a fantastic page-turner and I can’t recommend it enough.

This is a great follow up to the amazing No Gods, No Monsters.  I had honestly forgotten some of the events of No Gods, but I was able to pick up the plot quickly.  We catch up on old characters like Ridley Laine, Rebecca, Cal and Dragon and are introduced to new characters like Alex.  The characters start to circle closer to each other and the overall story becomes more clear.  It's still difficult to summarize this book, so much is still unclear.  The book goes back and forth quickly between time and place, but I wouldn't call it disjointed.  The story really flows.

I would recommend reading Caldwell Turnbulls "review" of No Gods, No Monster on Goodreads.  He goes into his process and clarifies certain points.  It acts almost like a reader's guide.
