This is my second round on this novel. I was very entertained. This time as well as before, it occurs to me how significant Ron is to the story, and how that never really came across in the movies. His personality is well developed and consistent, and he holds Harry up, providing some common sense to his impulsiveness while tempering Hermoine's academic nature. I think it's the dynamic between them that makes the books so much fun to read!

(Reread as audiobook for exam preparation)
It‘s been so long since I last read the books that the differences to the movie was crazy to notice especially in this one. The fighting scene at the end is quite anticlimactic in the book but I loved the valentine‘s day! Wholesome stuff altogether obviously

a little bit all over the place, too many plot lines but they all tie up perfectly, so it only lost a half point from the first book. ron is written SO well in this book, and it makes me so angry how they cheated him out of an actual fully rounded character in the movies, he’s so lame in the films, but so so good in the books
