this book is a 5 star book from me ~ you may notice recently ive been giving books 5 star ratings more but it’s because i genuinely enjoyed this book alot .
the spicy rating is a 4 out of 5 .
I loved this book so much.
This was as surprise because I read both brutal & devious obsession & hated them sm.I felt the mmcs in those books were overly over the top and weren't for me . So i was highkey expecting to also hate secret obsession. But believe me when I say I loved this book .I loved Miles so so muchb. He was the right amount of morally grey . He didn't give me the ick unlike the last two . I am happy I found a a massery book I enjoyed and a mmc of hers that I also like . Maybe it's the fact I find the man on the cover of this book attractive and didn't like the last two mmcs model covers .
Anyways I adored this so so much. I would definetky recommend.

miles was so adorable the way he loved the fmc . he has made it onto my fave book bf list fr.
~ he literally didnt give me the ick once . he didnt do anything creepy like watch her in her house . ( did he track her yeah . did he listen to convos through her phone microphone yes . but did he fully invade her privacy and r word her multiple times if at all NO NO HE DIDNt. there are times tho where it feels like r wording may have happened but idk tho . im not 100% sure. ( so lets say dub con)
~ he also killed a man for drugging her and getting her drunk . ~ this comes back to haunt them later but not in the way you may be thinking.
i so hope miles’s brother doesnt get a book at all he doesnt deserve it from how he treated the fmc in any of the books. HER AND MILES DESERVE EACH OTHER AND GET THERE HAPPY ENDING

If you like to root for the underdog, you will enjoy this story. That said, The Secret Obsession is my least favorite book from this series. The story felt like Miles got his brother's leftovers, and he was okay with that. For someone who has been in love with a girl for a long time, he was fine standing on the sidelines while she was made a fool. His brother played with her heart, and then Miles played with it some more. Granted, she needed help, and he was there for her when she needed it. But in all honesty, it could all have been avoided.
I only finished this cause I’m not a quitter but man this book is definitely dark but not my kind. If you have been SA in any form this isn’t for you. Having sex with her when she’s blackout drunk and literally doesn’t move? The freezer part didn’t bother me as much as like you didn’t set a timer/think about her wet hair or even google how long till hypothermia sets in. He’s obsessed but let’s his bother date and sleep with her for an entire year

Omg another wild ride from S. Massery! Just like the titles of each of these books I am obsessed with this series. I mean come on, hockey romance + dark romance?! Say no more. I couldn’t wait for Miles’s book and omg was he obsessive towards Willow, it was great hahaha

Так, ну должна же быть грань между dark romance и романтизацией буквального изнасилования. В этой книге я увидела только второе: вместо исследования кинков героев мы видим именно насилие, где героиня сопротивляется изо всех сил, а потом сдается и просто ждёт, когда все закончится. И знаете, что в этот момент для себя понимает главный герой? Что героиня смирилась и сдалась, потому что БОИТСЯ, ЧТО ПОСЛЕ СЕКСА ЕЕ (снова) БРОСЯТ!

I LOVE A GOOD HOCKEY ROMANCE!
This book gets all of the stars, all of them. The way this book had me in a chokehold since I started it yesterday is insane!! I loved every minute of this book, and I honestly would sell my left kidney to experience their Willow and Miles love story all over again! This book was beautifully written and I can’t wait to see what the other books in this series have in store for me. And now of course I have a new book boyfriend to add to my never-ending list because Miles is everything. Literally gave “if he wanted to, he would” throughout the entire book! Looking forward to seeing if the other Hockey Gods have the same energy.

Miles and Willow are definitely my favorite!!! Miles knew what he wanted from the very beginning and he fought for it! Willow made me so mad at times, especially with the alcohol, but I also understood where she was. These two will be living rent free in my head forever!
