Secret Obsession

Miles has been my favorite MMC from this series so far, I liked that he wasn't so dark all the time like Grey and Steele. This book made me dislike Knox even more. I really liked Willow and I felt so bad for her throughout this book but I am glad she finally got her happy ending. I am very intrigued by Jacob and am excited for his story.

This was okay. The male MC was pretty hot, but I wasn't a fan of the female MC. I don't like an alcoholic MC; it just annoys me, and I can't root for them. And the plot was just whack-a-doodle. Definitely rolled my eyes a couple times.

This is a crazy rollercoaster, guys! Miles Whiteshaw, the ultimate bad boy of hockey, had me totally hooked. He's a control freak with a surprisingly soft side, and I couldn't help but be captivated by him. The sparks between him and Willow are off the charts, and their banter is both addictive and twisted. Now, I gotta warn you, this book goes into some dark territory, with non-consensual encounters and all. But if you're into intense, dominant dudes and complex love stories, you absolutely have to give this a go. Just buckle up for an emotional and wild ride!

Omg! Omg! Omg! Miles stole my heart and so needed a cold shower after reading his story. Willow and Miles work so much better. But what way to get her into his life than what he did. This book is dark and so hot and smexy. I love we got POV from other people and we saw so old faces from Massery's other series. I can't wait for the next book.

It’s crazy how one book can change my opinion on a series so quickly. To be honest I hated this book. Nearly DNF it but I needed to know who was stalking her.

Like all these types of series the first few I love and then it’s the same thing written with different characters. Enemies/ bully to lovers, stalking, possessive the end. However this time to MMC just straight up rapes her, then nearly water tortures/kills her to try and prove a point. How on earth am I supposed to fall for this character or believe that she would fall for him? And even the bullshit about her nearly dying is the kick she needs to stop drinking … um no? He nearly killed her am I missing something here? And then every second he’s just shoving her into a room and forcing sex acts which become more consensual but like Christ I was bored of it after the 10th time like give me some heart to heart shit!

Anyway I won’t be continuing this series for now. Loved the first two but this one ain’t it for me. Yes it’s a dark romance but it’s lacking the romance.

Miles went so far past the line, but it fit the story perfectly

It was so hard not to hate Miles in this book. While his obsession with Willow was apparent, the things he did were just so wrong... but for the story, so wrong, it was right.

Willow had so much to learn about herself, and Miles was the only one who could do that.

This story had so much in it; kink, spice, intrigue, love, and friendship. The involvement of so many other characters was great. I look forward to reading the next lot of books in this series.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good audio. I would enjoy it if the audio reflected the mood a little more; when something is whispered or gasped, etc, rather than in normal tone.

This is the third book in the rapey-stalker hockey series and this goalie is the rapiest of the bunch. Like, she literally says "please don't do this" and he says "shhhhh" and pushes inside her anyway. That's not dubcon, that's rape. But then she says he's a great dancer so I guess she wasn't upset about it. These girls, I'm telling you. If they weren't hot hockey players, they certainly would be upset but I digress.

Besides that part, I really liked this one. Grayson was a little too much of an unredeemable dick for me, but I liked Steele and Miles a lot. This one was a little far fetched but it's fiction so it's fine.

90% of these problems could be solved with communication. He was mad at her for years because he told her he was in love so she thought he was taken and she dated his brother. He was in love with her so he was mad at her. Hey here's an idea. Next time say, I'm in love...with you. Duh.

The audio was great. Teddy Hamilton does all these and he's great. Perfect as always. Alyssa Avery did a nice job as Willow as well.

Jacob's book is next and he's a little unhinged I think. I'm kinda excited about it.
