Wow. What an absolute wild ride this book was, LOL! I thought I knew what I was expecting before starting this book but boy was I wrong. Before getting into it, I definitely recommend looking at the trigger/content warnings before heading into this book. Some of what happens in the book is definitely a taaaad bit questionable (which is normal for dark/taboo romances) and can be upsetting for some.

Now, saying all that, this dark hockey romance was a book with ~480 pages of pure entertainment!! I had absolutely no clue where the story was going to take me next, which rarely happens with books I read. Willow and Miles have such an honest deep connection, when they missed their chance because of miscommunication, it killed me!! After being publicly broken up with by Miles brother (of all people), somehow the blame ends up on her. The chance arises for Miles to swoop in and *absolutely* nothing will stop him. Miles sees through Willow and beyond wanting her for himself, he wants to bring her back to life.

The progression of friendship to even more is a crazy journey, but one that I couldn’t get enough of. The smut scenes are also amazingly written, prepare to be blushing alone in your house while reading this. I loved this crazy friend group of misfits and anti-heroes. They don’t hesitate to poke fun at one another but would turn around and defend each other to no end.

Secret Obsession was my first time reading a book from this author and I was not disappointed! It was filled with tension, secrets, chemistry, danger, and eventually bittersweet moments that were all well-written. Thank you so much to Grey’s Promotions and the author for an ARC of this book!
