These books are a bit of a mix for me.... I really do like them because they are a bit dark and twisty, and the men are

Okay we have a winner! Thank you so much Miles for absolutely delivering.
Willow is left heart broken after she is publicly humanilated by Knox and who should be there to pick up the pieces but Knox's brother Miles. Willow is set on not falling in love ever again but Miles is doing everything he can to be right there and make her fall involve with him. One night something crazy happens and now she has to stay with Miles. Now he is everywhere, he is set to make her fall for him and Willow is struggling to deny her fallings for him.
This is probably the least dark book in this series and that is down the Miles Whiteshaw being an absolute softy. Miles had me swooning because he really did everything he can to protect Willow and was really involve with her. He did everything he can to show Willow she can be loved and deserves love.
This is definitely the best one in the series so far.
Tropes: Sports Romance, Ex-boyfriends Brother, Forced Proximity, He Falls First
Triggers: Non Con, Dub Con, Attempted SA, Blood/Knife Play, Manipulation

Dnf at 60%. I saw a review on twitter that this book was better than the first one but boy was the review wrong. To be honest I was better but not by a lot. I like dark romances but when the mmc is a fucking hockey player who kills people and does shit like that it gets kind of ridiculous. I didn’t like him or the fox.

Willow and Miles story is a b*lly romance with a bit of mystery/suspense.
Miles is st*lker status obsessed with Willow, in the beginning their interactions fall on the dark side of things. There’s aspects of dom/sub that are gritty and spicy hot.
Do heed any CW’s, it has things that will not be to everyone’s personal taste or comfort zone.
I liked Miles’ crazy ways even when I didn’t want to. He’s devotion in his obsession wore me down and I could feel for Willow’s confused feelings.
There’s a lot of tension, push and pull between them. I liked the way their relationship develops and how things play out.
I liked the secret, the suspense and anticipation that caused for the characters and me as the reader.
It’s a hot, dark(ish) story with crazy s3x. The secondary characters are great, many from previous books in this interconnected series. They can be read as standalone’s but, there’s spoilers for the previous books so I suggest reading them in order.
The pace was a bit slow for me, I feel some scenes were too long that didn’t affect the storyline. I found my focus drifting, I wish it was a bit faster paced and a bit shorter. Otherwise, I enjoyed the story and characters. It was quirky with a side of grit and steamy AF. The end has some fast paced action and suspense that tied up that part of the story pretty well.

Heat: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (Of course this needs to match Miles' 🍆 rating)

There are books that make me question myself a bit before booking an appointment with my therapist. This is one of those books.
Under no circumstance would I ever entertain a guy like Miles in real life - but that’s the nice thing about books, right? We can live out different fantasies that we’d never, ever touch and would likely run to a police station to take out restraining orders to avoid.

From the start of the book, I wasn’t a fan as the book as the betting plot, which I’m not a fan of. I’m about 30 pages in and there is already a murder that has occurred, which for me it’s happened to quickly into the book. The way that the dance group that willow is going to kicked her out for breaking up with Knox even though he is a terrible person sums up the members of the group perfectly. I swear that miles doesn’t understand boundaries either, when willow says ‘please don’t’ and he does it anyway, disregarding her statements. The game of truth or dare was something else, when someone asked Greyson if he regretted forcing Violet to give Steel a blowjob and no joke he said that he wouldn’t of fallen for her if she didn’t. The main thing I didn’t like in the book is how willow can forgive Knox so easily after he literally tortured her and miles so that brought my rating down
